it's been a while.
where have i been?
same ol' place.
just decided to take a little break.
both kids started school and both kids LOVE it.
and of course we couldn't be happier about that.
i've still been running and working out same as always.
but i think i can feel plantar fasciitis coming on my right foot now.
i still have it in the left. but i can run on it without pain.
it's the after and the morning when i pay for it.
what a weird injury.
i picked up running to about 20-30 miles per week and that's when i noticed the right feeling extra tender at night and the morning.
i'm going to try my best to run 1-2 days per week and leave it at that for a while.
we have these new (to my y) machines that mimick running and i've been doing that a lot the past few weeks. it's working out great. still a hard workout minus the harsh impact.
i've also been trying a few new classes since i can go earlier now that i drop paisley off at 7:30.
we weren't even awake then before school started. but i LOVE getting the work done early.
it feels good.
something else that feels good is seeing someone you've grown to care about make really great decisions.
matt and i met him last spring when he was baptized in our church.
he's been an absolute joy to get to know.
he's had his share of struggles and doubts about life in america.
but has overcome many of them and is well on his way to great things.
he has met up with a lady whom he knew in kenya and they have connected and courted and will be getting married very soon.
lenah is a beautiful woman inside and out and i am thrilled to be her new friend.
their story is quite a miracle and blessing from heavenly father.
and it will live on through her son eugene and the children lenah and joseph will one day have together.
it's an exciting time.
tonight lenah was baptized and it was very special event.
just a small group of the many who were there to celebrate and support lenah.
she is in the white sweatshirt with her son in front and joseph next to her.
i am so grateful for my family and the friends we have made here in minnesota.
what are you thankful for tonight?
